To solve the USPS money issue, the US Mens Cycling team should get another sponsor and the USPS should charge everyone the same for all letters, including junk mail.
So, anyone working a normal job basically has to waste a Saturday morning to do any 'business' with the Post Office, go online, use up their lunch break, or take off work early. Oh, such progress. You honestly have to wonder if the decision makers don't have stock in UPS or FedEx...
I hope you aren't falling for the big fat lie the Post Office told you. They are cutting hours because if they show a reduction in costs management gets bonuses. They've been trying this ploy regularly for years. If an office is evaluated to need more employees they also cut hours. You notice its only happening in one-quarter of WV. This is because that is where the greediest management work. Call your state and federal represent-atives. These jerks should not be able to line their pockets at the cost of service to the public. It still is called the United States Postal SERVICE. They have changed hours all over town. The Mall,Fort Neal, and North Park. Simmons is their favorite but apparently they needed a bigger bonus, so now it's their turn. Simmons usually does a good business on Saturdays, but that won't get the bonus. Don't fall for their lies. Speak up!!
Seem to me the post office needs to be open for the working person who can't do buisness working 8to5 there is no reason doing postal business at the crack of dawn mail isn't going anywhere till evening anyway open from 11to7
The lines are already long enough at the post office. Now they will be even longer. The south side PO even closes for lunch. My carrier gets later and later every day. I'm guessing that soon, they will do away with Saturday mail delivery and once again jack up the cost of a stamp.
