A Vienna man is facing five felony charges after a police chase in Parkersburg Tuesday night.

Police say Raymond Jarvis stole a car in Sistersville Monday. Tuesday night the stolen car was spotted at McDonald's on Division Street in Parkersburg.

When police were called they say Jarvis drove the car down Division street at a high rate of speed. They say he led them on a vehicle chase until 9th Avenue when he abandoned the car and fled on foot. He was arrested a short time later near 9th Avenue.

Jarvis was arraigned Wednesday morning in Wood County Magistrate court. In Wood County he faces charges of fleeing while DUI, third offense DUI, and driving suspended revoked for DUI. In Tyler County Jarvis is facing charges of grand larceny and driving suspended revoked for DUI. All five charges are felonies.

Jarvis is behind bars on $35,000 bond Wednesday afternoon

I would just like to take a moment to say congrates on the good work finally. He has made a fool and got by on the city of parkersburg people and officers. I know for the last 5 years he has been ignored and when parkersburg finest did arrest him they took him to the flood wall and beat him, If you ask me not hard enough. Just to let him go . Maybe now after all these actions things will be as they should quiet.

Good job, boys in blue. Glad you got him off the road before he plowed into a Wood County family who may have just been passing! Yay, police! Way to go!
