An area organization will have a new owner and possibly more jobs at it's Marietta residence.

Kardex Systems Inc., which has a sales organization in Marietta, has filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy.

The international group, Kardex AG, will now buy out the US company.

Under the transaction, Kardex AG will take over the assets and the entire Kardex brand in the US.

They will also acquire a production site in Lewistown, Pennsylvania.
