It's that time to turn those clocks back an hour tonight.

The time changes at two AM Sunday morning.

The Marietta Fire Department says this is a good time for people to perform annual safety checks in their homes.

Marietta Fire Department's Lieutenant Jack Hansis wants the public to remember, "To change your batteries in you smoke detectors and your carbon monoxide detectors. The batteries only last a year so you may have a dead alarms and it would not give you the appropriate notice if you did have an emergency."

Fire fighters also recommend dusting off the outside and inside of your smoke alarms and carbon monoxide dectors to keep dust from affecting the batteries.
