A Spencer man is behind bars Friday evening in connection with possessing child pornography.

Officials with the West Virginia State Police say Richard McGrew is in the Central Regional Jail after being arraigned on 16 charges of possessing the pornography.

McGrew's bond is set at $32,000, and he will have a preliminary hearing within the next ten days.
