I was there this afternoon and saw some state workers putting a new marker up - fast action for doh
WHEN it IS returned, let's hope they come up with a better and more sucure way of attaching the sign to the post, or it most probably will get stolen, now that the NEWS let everyone know just how easy they are to remove. What a silly thing to even pretend it was news worthy. Several Christmas decors were stolen from my front yard, Did that make the NEWS? No.
We are dealing with the Williamstown Police so it doesnt surprise me.
Sounds like much ado about nothing. By the way, how much are one of those signs worth? I might want to take my wrench to a few other brass markers that have been forgotten about in the region, now that we've publicized that they are removable and worth scrap value.... (DUMB!)
HEY, I KNOW WHERE THE SIGN IS. WHERE DO I COLLECT THE REWARD....?
SURE SEEMS LIKE THE DOT SHOULD HAVE INFORMED WILLIAMSTOWN OF THEIR INTENTIONS MAYBE THEY DID? YOU KNOW WHAT YOU ARE WHEN YOU ASSUME!!!
It made the front page of the Parkersburg News in BIG BOLD LETTERS, for heaven's sake. I imagine the City of Williamstown, the WV Div. of Highways, and the News are all pretty "red in the face". Another clear depiction of something being published as news, before there is enough time to get ALL the facts checked. Let's get it together, please.
Nice communication on this work detail.
I believe what we have here is a failure to communicate...
