Turkey, stuffing, and mashed potatoes were on the menu for most people Thursday.
Hundreds came out to the salvation army, in Parkersburg, for just that.
But it was the 300 volunteers who made the meal a success.
Volunteers have been hard at work for weeks preparing the meal.
Thursday morning, preparations were underway at 7:00 for the big feast.
"It's family. These people look around they expect to see them. It's a big thing for the volunteers," said Major Vernon Dolby, The Salvation Army.
The Salvation Army says they serve two thousand people in six different counties on Thanksgiving.
