WTAP News The Parkersburg Police Department is warning Wood County residents of a phone scam.

The Parkersburg Police Department is warning Wood County residents of a phone scam.
Police Captain D.G. Barker says two local residents have reported calls from scammers trying to get bank account information.
Captain Barker says in one instance the caller said they were trying to sell medication and give a price list.
The caller then asks for bank account information.
In another instance the caller said they were calling from the persons bank.
The calls came from the same international phone number.
It is 304-699-3046.
Police are reminding everyone to never give out personal information over the phone.
