Three people are being treated for injuries after the partial collapse Wednesday morning of an apartment building in Washington County.
The building is located in the 500 block of Front Street in New Matamoras.
The collapse happened around 9:30 Wednesday morning.
The entire front and part of a side of the two-story brick building collapsed, trapping several occupants inside.
Firefighters had to clear debris to rescue three people trapped inside. Those three people were taken to two Mid-ohio Valley hospitals.
Right now crews are working to get to a gas main near the front of the home to check and see if it's damaged.
The cause of the collapse is under investigation but crews on the scene tell us it appears this was simply an old structure that gave way.
