Less money will carry over to Marietta's general fund this year compared to last year.
In 2009, the city will see a $2.2 million carryover from 2008.
Last year, that carryover was $2.5 million, $300,000 more.
City Auditor, David Locke says a drop in income tax collections coupled with warnings of decreases in certain state shared revenues will place even harder burdens on the city's financial resources.
