The attorney for Carl Sams wants to keep jurors at Sams' upcoming trial from hearing his taped confession.
Sams is accused of the death of his 14-month-old son in December of 2007. Judge Robert Waters is considering the motiion to keep the recording from being entered into evidence.
Attorney Joe Santer maintains Sams was coerced into confessing to killing the child.
Sams is charged with two counts, including murder and death of a child by a guardian or custodian.
Sams' defense claims the child's injuries were the result of a fall.
