Two men are behind bars this evening in connection with a burglary that happened December 30th.
Washington County Sheriff's deputies arrested Brian Morgan Tuesday morning for allegedly stealing several items from a home on Simpson street in Washington County.
And deputies say Morgan wasn't alone in the crime. They also arrested Kenneth Sparks just a day after it happened.
Some of the items stolen include two handguns, some knives and a small portion of a $10,000 coin collection.
Detectives say these items were taken from the home of an elderly couple.
"One of them is terminally ill, so he's laying on his death bed while somebody's ransacking his residence. It's very disturbing," Detective Brian Rhodes with the Washington County Sheriff's Office said.
Both Morgan and Sparks are currently being held in the Washington County jail, each on a $35,000 bond.
