We're expecting more snow in the Mid-Ohio Valley this week and if you don't take the time to scrape it off your car it could cost you.

Ohio State Highway Patrol officers said it's a vehicle obstruction citation that could cost you $130 in Washington County.

A Wood County Sheriff officer said across the river you could be cited for not being able to see out the rear window. This comes with a fine of up to $100 dollars or ten days in jail.

Sgt. Terry McGill of the Ohio State Highway Patrol said "Because it is a very dangerous situation to try and drive that car and be able to see what you need to see and it's very limited with the ice overnight on the windshield and the snow."

Officers are looking for the front, rear, and side windows to be cleaned off.

Sergeant McGill said when there's snow or ice on the road remember to driver slower and leave about three times the distance you normally would between you and the next car.

So this must mean that the city cop I see driving past my office with his SNOW COVERED police car must take his time and do some removal of snow himself. Boy would that be great to see one city cop pulling over another and ticketing them. I cleaned my car off yesterday and by the time I made it to work my back window was covered again, guess I should have mad a pit stop along the way and cleaned my window again. Find something else to whine about..

Wow! Thank you! It's about time you ticketed those 18 Wheelers for not being able to see out their back window! What, no mention of mirrors? Okay, sarcasm aside, this is just about the dumbest thing! As if law enforcement don't have enough to do. Or is it, we citizens have too much money? Where's the stats that show this is a major cause of winter accidents?
