Wood County Circuit Judge J.D. Beane says a meeting with members of the C8 Science Panel was an open dialogue...and that no specifics of its study were discussed.
But he added he wanted to make sure the panel continues to make progress with its work.
Judge Beane's predcessor, former Circuit Judge George Hill, approved a settlement between DuPont and area residents who filed suit over effects of the chemical the company uses to make Teflon at its Washington Works plant in Wood County.
Judge Beane suggested future meetings could be held by conference call instead of face to face, adding, "a lot of information (remains) to be gathered."
