The continued effort to wipe out drugs in the Mid-Ohio Valley has another man in trouble with the law Wednesday.
Around 10:30 Wednesday morning, detectives from the Washington County Sheriff's Narcotics Unit and members of the Major Crimes Task Force executed a search warrant at the home of 38-year-old Scott Davis, in New Matamoras, after detectives learned marijuana was being grown inside.
92 marijuana plants, totaling 590 grams, were taken from the home, as well as various articles of drug paraphernalia.
Davis was arrested for an outstanding felony warrant from Wayne County for non-support of dependents.
However, evidence supporting additional charges of cultivation of marijuana will be sent to the Washington County Prosecutors Office for grand jury consideration.
Deputies say Davis indicated he had been growing the plants inside and was going to move them outside when the weather improved.
Davis is in the Washington County Jail awaiting extradition to Wayne County.
The attached photos are of the plants seized from the New Matamoras home.
