UPDATE: Infant Among Three Dead After Morning Accident

The Ohio State Highway Patrol is investigating an accident in Meigs county that left three people dead.
The accident happened shortly before 7:00am on State Route 7, just south of Pomeroy.
Officials say 18-year old Shane Day was driving southbound on State Route 7 when he crossed the center line and hit a tractor trailer.
The Pomeroy man was pronounced dead at the scene.
Two passengers from Racine Ohio, 16-year old Autumn Demoss and five month old Caden Day were also killed in the crash.
The truck driver was not injured.
The crash remains under investigation.

The Ohio State Highway Patrol is investigating an accident in Meigs County that left three people dead.
It happened just before 7:00 Monday morning on State Route 7 near Union Avenue just south of Pomeroy.
Officials say a commercial vehicle was traveling northbound and a car was traveling southbound when the two collided head on.
Officials say three people in the car died.
The Highway Patrol has not released any names or whether anyone will be cited.
