Mr. Graham has taught in Mason Co. his entire career. The "alleged victim" was a resident of Mason Co. and currently resides with his mother in TX. (Age 32) His mother sent him back to WV for "visitation" (not court ordered) until he was 18, at which time the "alleged victim" chose to return to this area and attend Rio Grande College as long as Mr. Graham was shelling out the $. There is also controversy surrounding the loss of custody of the mother's two older children. Something just isn't right with this story!!

Seth Harris, You hit the nail on the head with your statement. The trouble is many times when educators are dismissed for malfeasance, their history dosen't follow them. It should, as it does for the rest of us.

WE DO have to have a background check and fingerprinting by the BCI. Anyone who works in the school system does. I don't know him but from what I have read he admitted doing this years ago. Check out the Charleston Newspaper article link here for more info...http://wvgazette.com/News/200905200310

I have known David Graham for many years (1985-present), and this seems out of character at best. In my opinion the public should wait until all investigative procedures have concluded before casting judgement on this man. (Hopefully Mason County is fair with this one instead of its normally corrupt procedures)

TRUTHFUL, HERE IS YOUR STATEMENT ON ANOTHER SEXUAL ABUSE CHARGE WHY DON't YOU DO THE SAME WITH THIS CASE. IF THIS STORY IS ANYTHING LIKE IT SOUNDS THESE TO SHOULD LIVE IN NORTH CENTRAL REGIONAL JAIL BUT I'LL WAIT TO GET MORE DETAILS ON THIS TO GIVE MY FULL JUDGEMENT

Seth- I'm sure they did a background check on him....this is an allegation not a conviction.

Regarding Seth's Remark: Educators go through extensive background and fingerprint checks, even substitute teachers. Of course, this doesn't cause alarm for anything if the educator has never been convicted of a crime

If this is true I feel so bad for the children that are abused everyday it is the sickest thing someone could do. however, what is a person to do about sexual predators i live next door to one and although i watch my children close i would feel better to have him out of the neiborhood he lives with his girlfriend and 3 daughters all under the age 12 and his crime was on a 12 year old what can a person do? It is sad i dont feel safe enough to let my children on the porch without me.

Nothing surprises me anymore! There was a high school principal that was busted awhile back for videotaping students getting punished. He would tape students getting punished when corporal punishment(paddling) was administered, especially high school girls. He got his thrills especially when he would paddle cheerleaders.

TRUTHFULL SOUNDS LIKE ONE OF THOSE LYNCH MOB TYPES - "STRING 'EM UP!" DOESN'T MATTER WHETHER OR NOT GRAHAM IS GUILTY OF A 23 YEAR OLD INCIDENT. HE MAY VERY WELL BE TOTALLY INNOCENT. LET'S BRING OUT THE FACTS AND SEE BEFORE CONDEMNING HIM. AND WHY IN THE WORLD WOULD A THIRTY-SOMETHING MAN WAIT UNTIL NOW TO MAKE AN ACCUSATION OF AN ALLEGED INCIDENT THAT OCCURRED 23 YEARS AGO? DOESN'T MAKE ANY SENSE.

I thought we were innocent until proven guilty, not the other way around. Get a clue Truthful and lay off the caps lock key as it just make you seem crazy and let the law do its work and determine whether the man is guilty or innocent. If he's guilty, throw the book at him along with the library and the city the library is based in. If he's innocent, then good job 'Truthful', you just helped destroy someone's life, I can only hope it happens to you also so you can know what it feels like. Also, as someone who has defended this country in uniform, please leave as I didn't do it to protect your right to be a one person legal system.

This kind of thing is just plain wrong. All educators should be required to go through an interview process and background check before even being considered as a school employee or an educator.
