It may be summer vacation, but for some students that doesn't mean learning is put on hold.
About 70 middle school students are attending a week-long "Women of the Sciences" camp at Marietta College.
The program is a way to introduce more girls to the various science fields, and to show them science isn't just for boys.
"We want to give them a chance to be the stars in science for a week, and show them what careers are available in science and what options they have," Stephanie Starcher, an instructor, said.
The girls will stay busy this week learning about computer science, chemistry, astronomy, dinosaur geology, neuroscience, forensics and mathematics.
