I'm sorry for the families loss but thankful they have found Jeremy. I spent about 15 hours on the river with my fire dept. searching and I want to thank those we had to stop while we had a portion of the river closed. Those we spoke to were very polite and only concerned that everyone was ok. Also, thanks to the woman who brought food and cold drinks to us while we were searching on Sunday. It was really needed, and greatly appreciated. There is a lot that isn't understood unless you have done these types of searches before. Some question why we focused in the immediate area but there were good reasons to. It isn't possible for all volunteer departments to keep a boat on the river at all times. Especially when they main station is several miles from the river. Please don't forget we often have to fight traffic coming from our homes to get to the station to get the appratus we need for the call we are needed on. Our thoughts are with the family and friends. Please stay safe out there.

Dear Amazed- All I wanted to clear up was that the driver was not the one drinking the alcohol that was found on the boat, there was no "collision" , no confusion as to how many were on the boat, and details of what happened were never "sketchy". People in this town have a way of talking trash when they have no clue of the truth. I was just clearing up a few points that the news and newspaper can't seem to get straight.

SBH~ yes by having the boats and jet skis in the water it creates a resistance in the water that would stir up anything on the bottom that might be caught. To nunyabizniss~ The driver might have been responsible in not drinking, but if you think about it, it really doesn't matter. The driver may not have caused the accident, but it still happened. It's not like being in a car, when you are thrown from a boat in the middle of the river, you need all your wits about you to be able to swim...that's the point with not drinking and boating...not so much the driver, but self. One needs to have themselves in a state of mind to rescue themselves if need be. Once a car hits a tree, that's it, it's stopped..no need to try to rescue self...but once the boat was flipped you have to deal with the water around you that is constantly moving. Make sense? Don't be so hard on people. Everyone takes tragic happenings their own way. Some get angered, others cry.

Some of you should be ashamed! Who cares what happened or who was drinking. Two people are now gone and the 5 who survived will live with this the rest of there lives. I didn't know Jeremy well and never knew his family until this happened but have been there with them since Saturday helping in whatever way possible....Tiffany I know this is hard on you now but in time you will recover. You two have a beautiful baby and she will need you more than ever. If you need anything please let me or your dad know

In every bulb there is a flower; in the seed, an apple tree; in cocoons, a hiden pomise: butterflies will soon be free! in the cold and snow of winter theres a spring that waits to be, unrevealed until its season, something god alone can see. theres a song in every silence, seeking word and melody; theres a dawn in every darkness, bringing hope to you and me.from the past will come the futue;what it holds,a mystery, unrevealed until its season, something god alone can see. in our end is our beginning; in our time, infinity; in our doubt there is believing; in our life, eternity. in our death, a resurrection; at the last, a victory, unreavled until its season, something god alone can see. REST IN PEACE JEREMY AND DAVE MIDCAP!

THE DRIVER OF THE BOAT WAS NOT DRINKING, and submitted a blood test on the spot to prove it. Just because there was alcohol onboard, doesn't mean it was the driver's. There were plenty of life jackets onboard, and the boat was NOT overloaded. You people need to know the facts, and get your story straight....and while you're out doing that... get yourself a life too and leave these people to grieve.
