Independence Day is just days away, and like most holidays, there are last minute shoppers.
The owners of American Flags and Poles say they've been busy all week helping folks prepare for the holiday weekend.
Owner Sylvi Caporale says American flag sales increased significantly after 9-11, and since then have leveled off.
She says people are displaying their stars and stripes now as much as ever.
"Right now we're in a time period where people are wanting to be more patriotic in displaying their patriotism. A flag helps do that. Red, white and blue colors do that, and always for the fourth of July people want their red, white and blue out," Caporale said.
She says they've been busy not only selling flags, but also dealing with many last-minute requests to have flag poles put in the ground.
