Lt. Smith Retires, Sworn In Again

A Wood County Sheriff's lieutenant who has served the community for thirty one years retired Thursday and shortly after was sworn in under a new title.
Wood County commissioners, three former sheriffs, the current sheriff, and other community members bid farewell to Lieutenant Tom Smith and thanked him for his service at Fort Boreman Park Thursday morning.
Smith was then sworn in as director of administrative operations which in part, deals with government grants.
Also at the ceremony Shawn Graham was promoted to lieutenant, Kent Stephens and Barry Murphy became sergeants and Jeff Mace became the assistant cheif tax deputy.
