Congratulations Tom and thanks for all your years of service. As the previous poster said, that is something to be proud of.
Congrats on the 31 years of service, but I don't understand the double dipping process.I believe the new job should be filled by someone who is just starting out and trying to support a family,or by someone who has previously lost their job,and trying to support thier family.I know Mr.smith isn't the only one who is double dipping in the city of Parkersburg or in Vienna...there are alot of jobs that are being filled by retirees.I believe we should give other qualified candidates a chance...who actually need a job...but anyway thanks for your service Mr.Smith thirty one years is something to be proud of, and you have placed your life in danger everyday being on the police department for all of those years.
