More Officers Expected to Patrol this Weekend

More officers will be patrolling the roads in the Mid-Ohio Valley this holiday weekend.
A grant is funding an extra Wood County Sheriff officer to be on duty Friday night to specifically look for drunk drivers.
Washington County Sheriff Larry Mincks said grant money will also be funding extra patrols for his department.
Ohio Highway Patrol and Parkersburg Police also plan to have more officers out on the roads.
Vienna Police will have a DUI checkpoint from 10 p.m. Friday until 2 a.m. Saturday at the intersection of Rosemar Road and Park Drive.
