It's the 15th Annual Red, White and Blues Festival in an outdoor concert at the Lafayette Hotel in Marietta.
An enthusiastic crowd gathered for the opening ceremony and five hours of entertainment.
Some were moved to dance, while others were there to enjoy the refreshments, provided by the Lafayette Hotel and others.
"The funds that are raised from this event are responsible for paying for the flowers, the maintenance of the flowers that adorn the lampposts , the American flags and the holiday decorations" explains festival spokesperson Karen Briley.
The festivities continued until Midnight for an admission of just five bucks.
More activities are planned throughout the weekend in Marietta, culminating with a fireworks display at 10 p.m. Saturday.
