One man is dead and another faces charges after a tractor trailer collided with a car in downtown Parkersburg Friday morning.

Wood County crash investigator Kevin Hornbeck says Timothy Mabe of Charleston ran a red light in his semi-truck and crashed into a silver Cadillac.

It happened on the corner of 8th and Julianna streets shortly after ten o'clock Friday morning.

The passenger of the car forty-three year old Randy Lockhart from Palestine, West Virginia died at Camden Clark Memorial Hospital Friday afternoon.

Lockhart was the owner of Singer Sheet Metal of Parkersburg.

The driver of the Cadillac, John Doan of Marietta, was treated and released from the hospital.

Hornbeck says numerous emergency crews responded to the accident.

Hornbeck says Mabe was arrested for negligent homicide and appeared in magistrate court Friday afternoon.

He is out on twenty-five hundred dollars bond.
