I WOULD LIKE TO KNOW EXACTLY HOW MUCH THE NEW RIVERFRONT PARK IS GOING TO COST BECAUSE I'M NOT TOTALLY SOLD ON THE IDEA THAT IS GOING TO HAVE ANY KIND OF GOOD EFFECT ON THE ECONOMY. WHILE I DO BELIEVE IN SPRUCING UP PARKERSBURGS' IMAGE I DO NOT THINK THAT THIS IS THE BEST TIME TO BE SPENDING A LOT OF MONEY ON "COSMETIC" PROJECTS WHEN THE MONEY COULD BE USED IN OTHER AREAS SUCH AS ROAD RESURFACING,POLICE/FIRE EQUIPMENT,ETC.IF THERE WAS ANY TIME TO BE SPENDING MONEY WISELY IT IS NOW.
real nice....until it floods.
Marietta embraced it's heritage and preserved it's self. Parkersburg wanted 'progress' and destroyed it's history many years ago. Won't ever bring it back .......I drove through downtown Marietta a few weekends ago and there was a gentleman playing guitar at an outdoor cafe there, literally stopped traffic!! Parkersburg has yard sales each weekend though!!
Great job Marietta. Let's keep showing WV how it's done.
Our Riverfront at Parkersburg has been closed for construction for about 4 months now? (approx) Why not take your cameras on the river side of the floodwall and show all the progress. Why is the Point Park even closed??
