There are mixed results on how the tourist season is going so far in the Mid-Ohio Valley.
The Blennerhassett Hotel is reporting a five to ten percent increase in the number of regional travelers coming in on leisure trips.
Meanwhile the Greater Parkersburg Convention and Visitors Bureau said overall the number of room nights sold is down two percent which is less than what was projected.
Steve Nicely, president of the Greater Parkersburg CVB said "Four of our hotels are up this year over last year and many of the others are saying while they may not have sold as many rooms their revenues are up. So it's kind of a mixed bag."
In Marietta the general manager of the Lafayette Hotel said the economy is affecting their business and they have seen a decrease in the number of room nights sold so far this summer.
Phone calls to the Marietta and Washington County Convention and Visitors Bureau were not returned Monday.
