A pre-construction meeting will be held Wednesday for the River Front Project in Parkersburg.
The project coordinator Ann Conageski said the meeting Wednesday will be about the construction and the time line of the work.
Crews will be first constructing a boat dock, amphitheater, rest rooms and a walking trail.
This project has been in negotiation since 1992 so many are glad to see progress.
"For us it's exciting, I've been with the city since nine years. I'm all excited to see it finally be constructed and have something out here, " said Conageski.
Conageski said the river front project should take almost two years to complete.
A ground breaking ceremony will be held on the July 13th.
