Getting our area's youth involved in the political process was what brought dozens to the first annual Lincoln Day dinner Friday evening.
Keynote speaker Secretary of State Betty Ireland spoke to an audience of young republicans, Wood County leaders, and other distinguished guests about the importance of voting, leadership, and getting involved in politics.
This was the Wood County Young Republicans first dinner since the state organization re-chartered last November.
Chairman, Mike Howerton, says it's America's youth that can make a political difference.
