So far construction is on schedule for Parkersburg's Riverfront Park.
Representatives of the city, Army Corps of Engineers, and the contractor- TAB Construction, Inc. met to discuss the progress Wednesday.
Currently workers are sheet piling or building a wall of metal that will be filled in behind it to make it like land.
Despite hitting old concrete in the water last month that put them a little bit behind, construction on this part of the project is a little ahead of schedule.
Officials are also waiting for federal money that has been appropriated for the project.
Once that money is available planning will begin for phase two.
Officials are planning for the park to be ready by the beginning of 2011.
