Annual Halloween Block Party in Athens
WTAP News There was an increase in the number of emergency calls this weekend during the annual Halloween block party in Athens but no serious injuries were reported.

There was an increase in the number of emergency calls this weekend during the annual Halloween block party in Athens but no serious injuries were reported.
City officials said the crowd was larger this year compared to the past but people started leaving quickly after midnight.
Athens police said 51 people were arrested on mostly alcohol-related charges.
The Emergency Management Agency reported 45 people were taken to the hospital for alcohol-related injuries that were not serious.
Officers said a large fight broke out on South court street close to 3 a.m.
