Starting Monday, crews will break ground on a project in Marietta that's been years in the making.
Phase One of the Armory Square Multi-use Community Center Project kicks off next week.
Crews will demolish the islands in the parking lot adjacent to the Armory.
Then, they'll patch up the asphalt and install light bases and new islands.
Phase One is expected to take 60 days.
Marietta city leaders have raised thousands of dollars to fix up the Armory and turn it in to a multi-use community center.
