A man accused of swindling at least 16 local families during a cross state blacktopping scam was sentenced in Washington county Thursday.
26-year-old Joshua Caldwell was sentenced to nine months in prison on a felony theft charge.
Officials with the Washington County Prosecutor's Office say Caldwell will now go to West Virginia to face charges there as well.
After that he'll go back to Washington County to serve his prison time.
Caldwell was arrested in July after sheriff's deputies say he got several Mid-Ohio Valley residents to pay to have their driveways repaved and then never did the work.
