Lines, But Not As Long

There were people waiting outside when H1N1 clinics in Wood and Washington county opened early Saturday morning.
But that didn't last long.
Once the clinics began, there were lines at the Dils Center...but they were inside instead of outside.
As was the case with previous clinics, these vaccines were for high risk groups, including pregnant women and children under the age of ten.
"It's been pretty consistent," said Carrie Brainard, Flu Information Coordinator, Mid-Ohio Valley Health Department. "I don't know if we're getting a whole lot more (vaccine)...we do want to remind parents that if they do have children under 10, they will need a second dose. We have clinics for that set up for November 30th, December 1st and 2nd."
There were also lines outside a flu clinic at the Washington County Health Department, but once the clinic opened, the lines thinned out and there was no waiting.
Director Kathleen Meckstroth says it hopes to begin immunizations of students at Washington County schools this coming week.
