An accident early Saturday morning involving one vehicle in Washington County sent two people to different hospitals.
Ohio State Highway Patrol said it happened at about 12:45 a.m. Saturday on Ohio Route 821 about two miles north of Whipple.
Officials said an SUV drove off the right side of the road, struck a utility pole, and then overturned on the road. Then it apparently hit a wire fence, a wooden fence post, and came to rest on its wheels in a field. Speed is suspected to be a contributing factor.
Troopers said one person was taken by helicopter to a Columbus hospital with a broken neck and another person was taken to Marietta Memorial Hospital.
Their names and current conditions were not released Saturday.
