Washington County Officials searched another home Monday night in an effort to shed some light why the county is missing $40,000 worth of light bulbs.

Sheriff Larry Mincks says deputies executed a search warrant at former maintenance supervisor Chuck Moody's home Monday evening in search of financial records regarding the missing light bulbs.

Mincks says they discovered that the bulbs were missing while investigating another case concerning the destruction of records.

Deputies recovered financial records from Moody's home that will be analyzed, and Mincks says they expect to follow up with supeonas to some area financial institutions.

Officials in Washington County are left in the dark, as they try to figure out why the county is missing $40,000 worth of light bulbs.

Sheriff Larry Mincks says they stumbled upon this information while investigating another case concerning the destruction of records.

To find answers, deputies spent Monday executing a search warrant in Meigs County at the residence of Samuel Seckman.

Seckman allegedly distributed the light bulbs to county maintenance supervisor, Chuck Moody.

Sheriff Mincks says Moody signed off as receiving the light bulbs, but because of the destroyed records, there's no way to tell where the bulbs are and who has the money.

Moody has resigned from his job as maintenance supervisor, and is not commenting on the situation.

Sheriff Mincks says they're also looking into a case involving chemicals ordered by the county that were never received.
