28-year-old Andrew Beck of Whipple was flown to Ruby Memorial Hospital in Morgantown.

Sheriff Mincks said that Beck was cutting firewood with another person when they attempted to make the tree fall downhill, but it fell up hill and landed on Beck.

No word yet on Beck's injuries.

Washington County Sheriff Larry Mincks says the patient appears to have serious injuries.

Mincks adds that MedFlight is on the scene and will take the person to an area hospital.

Deputies with the Washington County Sheriff's Office are heading out to an accident out on Whipple Run Road.

Sheriff Larry Mincks say it appears a 35-year-old white male was cutting down a tree when it fell on top of him.

Sheriff Mincks says they are trying to get a helicopter out there to transport the man to a hospital.
