UPDATE: Two Vehicle Accident Sends Three People to the Hospital
WTAP News A Wood County Sheriff deputy said three people were taken to the hospital after a Wednesday evening accident on West Virginia Route 31.

A Wood County Sheriff deputy said three people were taken to the hospital after a Wednesday evening accident on West Virginia Route 31.
The deputy said 18-year-old Cameron Powell of Charleston was driving eastbound when he crossed the center line and hit an oncoming vehicle.
Officers now report Powell and two other passengers- 19-year-old Mackenzie Peters of Williamstown, and a 16-year-old Williamstown resident were taken to Marietta Memorial Hospital.
All three were still being evaluated in the emergency room Wednesday night. At 10:30 p.m. the nursing supervisor said their conditions could not be released.
Earlir the deputy said the injuries did not appear to be life threatening.
No other injuries were reported.
The deputy said speed was a factor and Powell was cited for the accident.

An evening accident on West Virginia Route 31 sent two people to the hospital Wednesday.
Shortly after 6 p.m. officers responded to a two vehicle accident on WV Route 31 about a mile and a half east of the West Virginia Welcome Center.
A Wood County sheriff's deputy said Cameron Powell of Charleston was driving eastbound when he crossed the center line and hit an oncoming vehicle.
Officers report Powell and a passenger were taken to Marietta Memorial Hospital.
Powell was still being evaluated in the emergency room Wednesday night and the passenger's name and condition were unavailable.
No other injuries were reported.
