After Randy Lowe, the director of the 911 Center in Wood County, watched a morning show that had a report on 911 dispatchers short comings, he is speaking out.
Lowe said that the report was inaccurate and is misleading to the public.
Lowe said that not all dispatchers are certified to give medical advice before paramedics arrive, but the dispatchers with the 911 Center are.
He also said that employees all have background checks and must be nationally certified.
"We all have family and friends in the area and we want them to receive the best possible service. Whether it's a medical call, fire call or law enforcement call we want to make sure we do our part when trying to render help to them, " said Lowe.
26 dispatchers at the 911 Center respond approximately to 160,000 calls a year.
