Internet voting for military personnel from Wood County could happen in time for this year's elections.
Wood County Clerk Jamie Six told the county commission Thursday he's proceeding with plans to offer that option to our troops...and is looking at possible vendors for the project.
He notes it would benefit all military personnel...regardless of where they're stationed.
"A lot of times, we think of our military as being out on land. There's some at sea who will have a chance to vote without having to wait for the snail mail to get there."
Meanwhile, Six doesn't believe satellite early voting will take place for this year's elections. However, if that's the case, early voting at the Donald Black Courthouse Annex will proceed as always.
It's more likely, he says, to be in place for the 2012 election cycle.
