While the weather has been on our minds a lot the past month...it's also time for us to be working on and filing income taxes.
The Marietta-based Caring Connection is partnering with the Ohio Association of Second Harvest Foodbanks to provide free tax assistance.
And the head of the local agency says that, in spite of the winter weather...a large number of people have sought its assistance.
"We've already done 25 federal and 25 state returns," says Caring Connection director Jim Tilley. "The interest this year in getting refunds early is very evident."
Assistance is available to individuals and families whose annual income is less than $57,000.
