A Marietta College student, studying in Chile, has been able to get in touch with family and friends since the devastating earthquake hit there.
Thanks to a wireless connection, Skype, and an iPhone, Marietta College Junior Joe Williams has been able to let loved ones know he's alright.
Williams was apparently on a trip to Santiago during the 8.8 quake and helped lead a group out of a building.
Williams, who is majoring in Spanish and Health Science, hopes to attend medical school and plans to begin working at a hospital in Chile soon.
Williams is also a linebacker for the college's football team.
