Looking back over the past few months of winter it may seem hard to believe that spring is just around the corner. And for some, spring could mean a chance to fancy up you home, or take care of the toll winter has taken both on the inside and out. If you're doing either your used goods can go to a good cause.

Habitat For Humanity is always accepting donations. Since the sun came out, Habitat employees say they've seen an increase in donarship.

Greg Halterman, the Manager of the Habitat For Humanity ReStore says "the past week or so has started to pick up. When we had all the snow things were slow. But we're starting to get more furniture now. We're starting to get some doors and windows, so things are starting to pick up as people get ready to remodel for the spring."

All appliances are welcome for donation, but it's the larger appliances that are in high demand.

Swanagan Ray, a Habitat For Humanity ReStore Assistant, says "we need a lot of refrigerators. That's a big thing that people ask for, they come in and ask for refrigerators. And gas stoves, that's a big thing."

What if you have an appliance that may be a little to large for you to transport on your own? Habitat comes to you. Ray adds "we do take donations over the phone, and our number is 422-7907, call and make donations, and we make pickups on Mondays and Tuesdays."

And those at habitat have high hopes for the spring. Halterman says "we have real high hopes. The business over here has been great over here since we moved. We have a lot of composite decking we have for sale. So we're hoping that as people remodel, we can sell the decking to them, and they can bring their used stuff over and we can sell it."

Those high hopes may help someone make a new home.
