Washington County is under a flood warning. A flood warning means that flooding is imminent or has been reported. The warning will be in place until (at least) 6:15 PM Friday for Washington County.
All interested parties should take necessary precautions immediately. Many streams and creeks are running high from previous rainfall and may overflow their banks.
The flood watch from Thursday is canceled in the rest of the WTAP viewing area. Stay tuned to WTAP and WTAP.com for the latest weather information.

The National Weather Service has issued a flood WARNING for Washington County until 4:15 a.m. due to heavy rainfall.
The flooding is expected to affect Route 26 at Route 260, along the Little Muskingum River.
Heavy downpour over Thursday evening has swollen creeks and streams throughout Southeast Ohio.
Those with interests along creeks or in flood plains should move to secure their property as soon as possible.
A Flood Advisory continues for Hocking County among others in South Central Ohio due to continued heavy rainfall and saturated ground. The Flood Advisory continues through 4:30 a.m. Friday.
