People living outside of the city of Parkersburg, who want to take part in early voting, will now have four new locations to do so.
The Wood County Commission Thursday gave final approval to the new sites, after the Mineral Wells volunteer fire station was secured as one of those four locations.
The satellite voting locations means early voters won't have to come to downtown Parkersburg to cast their ballots.
"We'll have them at four locations: the Williamstown City Building, Vienna City Building, the Mineral Wells Fire Station and the Lubeck Fire Station," says Wood County Clerk Jamie Six.
And the commission agreed to create a new voter precinct on the outskirts of Vienna.
Precinct 41-U is needed because precinct 41 inside the city was moved to the newly redistricted delegate district ten.
It includes a number of residences located along the Ohio River off Grand Central Avenue.
Voters from both precincts will continue to cast ballots at the Grand Pointe Conference Center on election day.
