President Obama declares Ohio disaster from spring storms
President Barack Obama has declared a major disaster in southern Ohio from spring storms, making 21 counties eligible for federal aid.

WASHINGTON (AP) - President Barack Obama has declared a major disaster in southern Ohio from spring storms, making 21 counties eligible for federal aid.
The White House says funding is available to state and county agencies and to private nonprofit organizations to help with the recovery from severe storms and flooding that hit the region from April 4 to May 15.
The affected counties are: Adams, Athens, Belmont, Brown, Clermont, Gallia, Guernsey, Hamilton, Hocking, Jackson, Jefferson, Lawrence, Meigs, Monroe, Morgan, Noble, Pike, Ross, Scioto, Vinton, and Washington.
