Helping others for nearly 50 years.
In 2012, the Parkersburg Area Community Foundation plans to lead with its heart.
The foundation launched its 49th year of service at its annual meeting, Friday.
The PACF's Executive Director announced a new program called the "Foundation Civic Leaders Fellowship,"
It's meant to make a direct investment in our next generation.
"The goal will be to hire 15 or so young people this summer. We will place them in fellowship opportunities at non-profits and businesses throughout the region," says Executive Director, Judy Sjostedt.
One of the goals of the program includes enhancing students' personal skills and to find employment after graduation.
