Columbus, Ohio (AP) -- The standoff between Governor Strickland and others against Attorney General Marc Dann ought to appear to followers of this year's contentious Democratic Presidential Primary as just more of the same.
It's Democrats vs. Democrats, as is the to-the-bitter-end contest between Presidential hopefuls Barack Obama and Hillary Clinton.
Dann dug in his heels last week, refusing to resign despite the demands of Strickland, U.S. Sen. Sherrod Brown and other top state democrats.
Paul Tipps, a former chairman of the Ohio Democratic Party, says the strong response of Ohio Democrats could wind up backfiring.
He says the state already has ethics laws and campaign finance laws. But he questions whether democrats should be setting moral standards for elected party officials.
