JFK Library Honors Officials Who Challenged Voting Systems Save Email Print

Boston (AP) -- Two election officials will be honored at the John F. Kennedy Library for their efforts to maintain the integrity of voting in their states.

Ohio Secretary of State Jennifer Brunner and California Secretary of State Debra Bowen will be presented a profile in courage award on Monday. The annual awards are named for a 1957 Pulitzer Prize-Winning book written by President Kennedy.

Bowen and Brunner both challenged the reliability of electronic voting systems.

The awards are administered by the John F. Kennedy Library Foundation, headed by the Former President's daughter, Caroline Kennedy.
