Las Vegas (AP) -- West Virginia's Brad Paisley has been named top male vocalist of the year.
The Glen Dale Bative was given the honor at the 43rd Annual Academy of Country Music Awards show Sunday night in Las Vegas.
Paisley's video "Online," which was directed by Jason Alexander, was also named video of the year.
Besides "Online," Paisley's other hits include "Whiskey Lullaby," "Alcohol," "Celebrity," and "Ticks."
Other big winners last night included Kenny Chesney, who was named Entertainer of the Year, and Carrie Underwood, who took the Top Female Vocalist honor. Rascal Flatts won for Top Vocal Group and Brooks & Dunn took the Top Vocal Duo Award. The top new male and female vocalists were Jack Ingram and Taylor Swift, and Lady Antebellum was named top new duo or vocal group.
